Sacred Drum Making Workshop
Investment: $244

Must Register by Feb 27! See below for more info

Join us for a sacred drum-making workshop where you will create your own hand drum from start to finish.

The drum is one of humanity’s oldest ceremonial tools. Its rhythm mirrors the heartbeat and has long been used in ritual, prayer, healing, and journey work. The steady pulse of the drum supports nervous system regulation, deepens meditation, and reconnects us to the Earth.

Each drum is made from natural materials — the hide of an animal and the wood of a tree. In our time together, we will take a moment to honor the life that makes this instrument possible, acknowledging the animal and the tree with gratitude and respect.

In this workshop, you will:
• Learn about the history and sacred use of the drum
• Choose the rawhide you feel most called to work with
• Create and lace your own hand drum
• Set intention and prayer into your instrument
• Participate in a closing circle to honor and bless your drum

🥁 Choice of Rawhides
When creating your drum, you will choose the animal hide you feel drawn to based on the energy and totem medicine you wish to work with.
🦬 Buffalo (Bison)
A totem of strength, abundance, stability, freedom, gentleness, gratitude, and prosperity. Buffalo medicine helps keep you grounded and deeply connected to Mother Earth.
🦌 Elk
A totem of stamina, steadiness, strength, sensual passion, nobility, pride, respect, and survival. Elk is also associated with divine protection and following the right path. It supports those who lead with good hearts.
🐎 Horse
A totem of freedom, independence, nobility, endurance, confidence, triumph, and courage.

🌳 The Wood Medicines
Maple (Hoop Frame)
Symbolizes strength and endurance.
Alder (Drum Beater Stick)
Represents determination, inner confidence, and release.
All drum-making and drum beater materials are provided.

This is a hands-on, heart-centered experience. No prior experience is needed — only a willingness to show up and create with intention.
Your drum will be uniquely yours — infused with your breath, your prayer, and your energy.
After it is completed, your drum will need time to dry and settle — a sacred pause before it fully awakens.
There is something powerful about bringing a sacred instrument to life with your own hands.
You will leave with a completed drum and drum beater crafted by you.
After class we will plan a time to come together and play!

A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to reserve your place and get materials ordered
Full commitment and deposit must be received by February 27th to ensure your materials are prepared.
Please indicate your choice of Elk, Bison (Buffalo), or Horse hide when placing your deposit.
