Summer Solstice Ceremony: Remembering the Light Within
June 22 – 5pm (Note this event is taking place on the 22nd and the 21st)
Remembering the Light Within
Summer Solstice Ceremony + 108 Oms
The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year — a sacred threshold of light, vitality, expansion, and illumination.
For centuries, cultures around the world have honored this turning of the sun as a time to gather, reflect, give thanks, and reconnect with what is most alive within us.
Together, we will gather in ceremony to honor this powerful seasonal crossing through breath, intention, sound, stillness, and the sacred practice of chanting 108 Oms.
In many traditions, the number 108 represents wholeness, completion, divine connection, and the bridge between the human experience and the sacred. With each Om, we soften deeper into presence — allowing the vibration to move through the body, quiet the mind, open the heart, and reconnect us to the deeper rhythm beneath the noise of everyday life.
As we move through the 108 Oms together, we honor:
• the light of the sun
• the light within ourselves
• the turning of the seasons
• the wisdom of the body
• and the collective heartbeat created in community
The evening may include gentle grounding practices, elemental ritual, instruments, and — weather permitting — a fire ceremony around the meditation circle. Together we may gather around the flames in reflection, prayer, release, gratitude, and celebration as we honor the fullness of the season and the sacred turning of the sun.
The evening may also conclude with music, movement, and celebratory dance around the fire beneath the summer sky.
